Description:

My rendition of Michelangelo’s “The Creation of Adam” (1508) is meant to illustrate the continuum of space, time, the heavens and the earth. It is to comment on the continuum of Divinity with Mortality.

In the original artwork, the hand of Adam appears lazy, failing to reach the outstretched hand of God. Some historians believe that this fresco was meant to symbolise the divine breath of life with God’s hand just barely failing to touch Adam’s hand. In this rendition, the laziness of man is maintained, but God and man do touch - this is to symbolise that divinity is bestowed upon us within our mortal shells, it is intrinsic within the very fibre of our being, our souls, but man is arrogant or ignorant thereof.

The contact happens in the background of a sun which is neither rising, nor setting. It is also a typical African backdrop on an ostrich eggshell - this is to incorporate African elements within the original European or Renaissance setting so as to strengthen the theme of continuity.

Similarly, the choice of an eggshell carries this symbolism - what came first, the ostrich or the egg?

The inspiration to create this rendition of “The Creation of Adam” comes from a need to comment on how we are merely a cog in this perpetual continuum of time, space, heaven and earth.

Loved this cleanser
I really love this cleanser. I use it every night to take off my sunscreen and my skin looks great. I enjoy that it doesn’t dry out the skin and it’s great for mascara. It’s very gentle as well and doesn’t sting your eyes. Will be buying again once I’m done.

Product review from a teenage girl
Has helped my fungal acne very well and has calmed down my breakouts I get monthly. There’s no scent and it feels very soft in the skin. Easy to rinse off and easy to use. Helps out my dry skin and makes me feel smooth after using.

Gentle and non-greasy cleanser.
Gentle on mature skin. No fragrance. Non-greasy. This is my double cleanser to remove makeup and this first step gets my face make up free and feels very clean.

Game changer
I use this cleanser with the other cleanser they have, the green one. It’s actually crazy how much it changed my skin routine. I didn’t change my products and only my cleansers and there was a huge improvement. Using them both together feels very nice, there is literally a slight glow on my face after i’m done washing it. The cleanser itself is an oil and helps get my makeup off well. My face is usually oily but my t-zone can be a bit dry, these combined helped my face go back to a “normal” balance. So happy with my purchase, definitely recommend.

Removes Makeup Well
Removes makeup well, and doesn't leave the skin too oily. Didn't cause me breakouts. Just clean skin. However, if you have sensitive eyes and skin, avoid the eye area. I had burning and discomfort around the eyes
