(Harmon mutes will create the best effect) The drum break at meas. 65 should be performed "a la Gene Krupa" is followed by a layering of complimentary melodies which build into a "shout chorus" effect at meas. 89. Keep the Hi-Hat prominent throughout and make sure the eighth notes have a pronounced swing feel. Consider substituting vibraphone for bells to create a more authentic rhythm section sound. |
