How many Maton guitars is enough? Apparently around 7 or 8. This is a gently used 2022 model, originally purchased from Artisan Guitars. It is with us as a consignment from a long time Maton fan who just purchased two new ones... Rotating his inventory!
There are a few subtle shiny spots in the satin nitro finish, typical from normal handling and playing. There is no noticeable fret wear, and very light pick marks on the pick guard. It is setup to factory specs with a fresh set of Elixir Phosphor Bronze (.013-.056), standard on the Maton Mini's. What a nice flamed Maple neck, too.
Don't let this adult mini travel guitar fool you, because it can pack a serious punch! Some players have made comments on forums, the Maton Mini lacks character. Due to the short scale and lower string tension, they would be wise to play to the Mini's attributes, gently and accurately - not to overdrive the super short scale.
The Maton Guitars EM6 is a traveling songwriter's dream. Built with a smaller scale (22.7"); this Maton has become a favorite of artists all over the world because of their powerful tone & ease of playabillity.
The tone-wood All-Blackwood sound is dry with individual string clarity. The Maton Double X brace gives plenty of volume & projection; it is always a surprise how loud these little Mini's can get!
