At first glance, there will undoubtedly be something familiar and iconic about the shape of this 50's Vega Westerner. So much so that there are rumors that only a handful (under 100) made it into production before another guitar company threatened legal action. Rumors and telephone-game history aside, this guitar absolutely rules. All solid mahogany body (no maple top, no carve), solid chunky mahogany neck that fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, bound rosewood fret board, single coil pickups that have the perfect amount of cut and body, a gorgeous burst on the back and neck, and a gold top finish that started its journey into it's greening metamorphosis a long time ago. This was a one-owner guitar who said the only thing he ever replaced were the tuning machines (and although there isn't a lot of information on these out there, all of our research corroborates his statement). This is a ton of guitar for the money on all fronts. It even comes with the original hard case.

This Vega Westerner is in great condition for a guitar that is around 70 years old. Plenty of wear, checking, and dings that you'd not only expect a vintage guitar to have.
