De vier luchtkamers (drie romp- en een kielkamer) bieden stabiel drijfvermogen, en de buisdiameter van 42 cm geeft de boot goede stabiliteit voor twee personen met uitrusting. De 2.70 is de compactste boot in de Friesland-serie en past op kleinere trailers en in bestelwagens, wat hem ideaal maakt voor vissers en recreatieve vaarders die mobiliteit combineren met een compleet vaartuig.

De transom is geschikt voor een buitenboordmotor van maximaal 10 pk kortstaart en de maximale belading is 370 kg voor vier personen. De boot weegt 47 kg en wordt geleverd inclusief uitneembare aluminium vloer, peddels, zitbank, aanlegtouw van 4 meter, voetpomp, opbergtas voor de rubberboot, opbergtas voor de vloerdelen, noodreparatieset en een Nederlandstalige handleiding. HIBO geeft 5 jaar garantie op het doek, 3 jaar op de naden en 1 jaar op de accessoires.
