De AC7452 is een officieel USB-IF gecertificeerde USB4® 80Gbps Type-C® kabel met Thunderbolt™5 ondersteuning. Data, stroom en video via één USB4®-kabel

De AC7452 heeft een intelligente e-marker chip. Deze chip communiceert met de aangesloten apparaten, zoals een laptop of lader, om te bepalen welke functies de kabel ondersteunt. De AC7452 kan overweg met data, stroom en video.

USB4® versie 2.0 80Gbps met Thunderbolt™5 ondersteuning

De AC7452 USB-C kabel ondersteunt de USB4®-technologie en het Thunderbolt™5-protocol voor een maximale data overdrachtssnelheid tot 80Gbps. De kabel ondersteunt ook asymmetrische dataoverdracht: 120Gbps + 40Gbps. Hierdoor krijg je een hogere downloadsnelheid en een lagere uploadsnelheid. Handig in situaties waarbij er veel downloadcapaciteit nodig is.

Power Delivery: Extended Power Range 240W

Met EPR worden er extra Power Delivery-profielen toegevoegd: 28V, 36V en 48V. De AC7452 maakt gebruik van het 48V-profiel waardoor de kabel een maximale stroomdoorvoer van 240W ondersteunt. Standaard kabels zonder e-marker die voorzien zijn van SPR (Standard Power Range) ondersteunen maar 60W.

DisplayPort Alternate Mode protocol

De USB4® versie 2.0-kabel ondersteunt het DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) 2.1 protocol voor het distribueren van video over USB-C. De AC7452 ondersteunt een maximale resolutie van één 16K @ 120Hz monitor of twee 8K @ 120Hz monitoren in MST opstelling.

Officieel USB-IF gecertificeerd

De AC7452 is officieel gecertificeerd door USB-IF. De kabel voldoet aan de hoogste standaarden die worden gesteld door USB-IF. Het officiële USB-IF logo staat vermeld op de connector van de kabel. ACT is lid van het USB Implementers Forum, Inc.

Wow that light color ring is annoying
There is no way to turn this color light off. I don't even know why it has to have a light at all. I suppose it is to tell you it has power. But the light could have been something that momentarily turns on and then off as you place the phone on. I'm a DIY'er and I'm going to find a way to take this apart and disable the light. I'll report back if I'm successful. The good news is that this mount is identical to another one I have except for the magnet charging section. I'm talking it is identical down to the knobs and metal arm so it's generic in that sense. They only changed out the magnetic section. This type of mount holds well to the screen. The charging speed seemed adequate. Not terribly fast but not slow. Wirelessly charging is always slower than plugged in. The supplied USB cable is braided and feels like quality. See attached picture. This mount is not something you'll necessarily want to use every time you drive. Therefore the color ring is annoying.

The combination of active cooling and a sturdy metal build makes it a first class addition to my car. Great design. Love it.
I have been using this charger for several months now. I think the design is fantastic. I've seen other reviews which question the reliability of it. My experience has been the opposite. I have a folding phone so it's not light. The connection to the dash has remained intact without fail. I am careful when removing the phone. I don't just yank it off. It charges as it should. The magnetic force is what I expected. Holds my phone with no issues or concerns it could fail and drop the phone. It's super convenient to have this integrated design. My dash is already occupied with a portable android auto unit. My 4Runner is older and did not have that feature. Again, this is plastic. Handle it with some care and I don't see anyone having issues with breaking. It has worked out great for me. Recommend.
