L’assaggio è dolce, morbido, vellutato e denso, ben equilibrato tra zuccheri e freschezza, e di ottima persistenza.Propone un raffinato equilibrio, tutto giocato tra il bilanciamento che si viene a creare tra dolcezza e freschezza, per un sorso elegante e complesso, ma allo stesso tempo mai stucchevole e mai banale. Il Vin Santo di Montepulciano della cantina Poliziano, prodotto per la prima volta con la vendemmia del 1995, è figlio di un riposo di almeno sette anni in caratelli di legno. Viene vinificato dopo che le uve sono state fatte appassire per circa quattro mesi. Quello che ne nasce è un vino passito estremamente raffinato, da sorseggiare la sera in meditazione. Se poi vorrete abbinarlo al pecorino di fossa, allora avrete colto direttamente al centro del bersaglio. È un Vin Santo coi fiocchi.
Ottimo con la pasticceria secca e con i dolci natalizi, è anche meraviglioso per accompagnare i formaggi stagionati. Perfetto con il pecorino di fossa.

I Smell Like a Gentleman Who Owns a Fireplace

The fragrance is warm, woody, and slightly sweet...that low amber note that smells expensive without trying to smell expensive, which, as we all know, is the actual expensive smell. My wife walked past me twenty minutes post-shower and said, unprompted, "You smell really good." I nodded like I had planned this.
The lather is genuinely rich; squeeze a modest amount and it blooms into a thick, creamy foam that covers everything efficiently. The texture is silky rather than watery, which matters more than people admit. Watery body washes feel like rinsing off with slightly scented regret. This one feels intentional. It cleans, and your skin actually feels clean afterward, not just rinsed. And the moisturizing? I wasn't expecting it. No greasy film, no lotion-begging dry patches by midday. Just quietly softer skin that doesn't make a big announcement about it.
Now, my honest gripe: the scent longevity has a ceiling. By mid-afternoon you're back to neutral. That's the gap between four stars and five for me. For daily freshness and an incredible morning window of smelling genuinely great, it absolutely delivers...but it won't carry you to bedtime.
