Learn hand-building techniques to create a teapot using high-temperature stoneware.

Understand the essential elements of a teapot: body, spout, lid, and handle.

Explore proportion, balance, and functionality through clay.

Connect with the material and the process of shaping an object by hand.

P R O G R A M

Introduction to hand-building techniques and the basics of high-temperature stoneware.

Observation of teapot forms and discussion of proportions and functional elements.

Individual design: sketch and imagine your own teapot.

Hands-on construction using coils and modelling tools.

Focus on form, balance, and surface.

Brief explanation of drying, firing, and the following steps in the ceramic process.
