A gem-quality pearl forms naturally in only about one out of every 10,000 Pinctada oysters—a marvel of the sea that historically required tremendous skill, patience, and luck from pearl divers.

This 16" necklace showcases ten such natural pearls, alongside a single cultured pearl, all repurposed from the remnants of an Art Deco–era necklace attributed to Van Cleef & Arpels. Each near-round white saltwater pearl is gracefully stationed along a modern 14k yellow gold cable chain, creating a delicate rhythm of luster and light. The pearls range from 3.13–3.63 mm and exhibit a soft, natural glow.

Accompanied by GIA report no. 6233435355, confirming ten natural saltwater pearls, Pinctada species, untreated, with white body color and no overtone.
