El cantaor jerezano Jesús Mendez ha editado su cuarto disco en solitario. Un sentido recuerdo a Francisca Méndez Garrido la Paquera de Jerez, quien representa la cúspide expresiva de su familia artística.

El nuevo álbum se basa fundamentalmente en las composiciones que algunos autores como Antonio Gallardo Molina, en mayor modo, hicieron para la artista jerezana. Aunque también aparecen Quintero, León y Quiroga o Manuel Alejandro en las autorías. Más allá del cante más ortodoxo de su Plazuela natal, aquellos cortes sin perder un ápice de pureza supusieron que Paquera tuviera una fama excepcional en todo el país cuando las radios del momento emitieran a cada instante temas como Maldigo tus ojos verdes.
