This fine reproduction is based on a black-figure lekythos attributed to the Taleides Painter, dated to 550–540 BCE. Dionysus, seated and wreathed, raises a slender drinking horn as a maenad and two satyrs dance around him in celebration. On the shoulder, a siren stands between two grazing wild goats. The added red bands and vivid detailing reflect the elegance of 6th-century Athenian pottery.

First recreated in May 2012 for the opening of the ATTIC BLACK shop, this lekythos is offered in limited editions every 6–8 months—a tribute to ancient craftsmanship and timeless design.

Provenance of the Original
The original lekythos was sold at auction on November 5, 2011, by Cahn Auktionen AG in Basel, fetching 90,000 CHF (€74,933). Its provenance includes the collections of N.C., Lugano, P.P., Lugano, Donati, Lugano (1992), and Baron H. von Schoen, German Ambassador to Greece (1922-1926).
