Reissue of legendary underground release Buddhas of Golden Light by Pekka Airaksinen, Nurse-With-Wound-listed founding member of legendary Finnish improv group The Sperm. Buddhas of Golden Light is a highly sought-after crate-digger's classic, originally self-released in 1984. Airaksinen originally recorded the album to tape, using an 808 and DX7, with improvised saxophone taken from an epic week-long solo session and Antero Helander featured on one track. Buddhas of Golden Light is a true underground record that sounds like very little else ever made before or since. Simultaneously alarming and disarming, Airaksinen's work co-opts the sound of the 808 and manipulates the DX7 for a cosmic spiritual jam, Sun Ra style. Airaksinen has been actively making music since the 1960s. Buddhas of Golden Light is from a series of albums he began making in the 1980s, each of which is dedicated to one of the thousand Buddhas and many of which were self-released. At the time of this reissue, he is about a hundred Buddhas deep. Airaksinen is mainly known for his role in the controversial Finnish underground group The Sperm, formed in 1967. The collective's recordings resembled the noise and industrial music of the '70's and '80's, with a pro-drug, pro-sexual revolution rhetoric and a Dadaist sense of humor, influenced by American free jazz, underground rock, and anarchism. After The Sperm disbanded in 1970, Airaksinen continued making experimental music in his own studio. His music is characterized by out-of-sync rhythms, intense dynamics, and feverish visions. His approach is consciously unpolished, spontaneous, and improvised, resulting in a cosmic electro-jazz sound fusing free jazz and the 808. In the '90's he began to incorporate techno influences, filtered through his Buddhist philosophy, and he is still making music at the time of this reissue.

Sturdy, well made, puppy & senior dog approved
Color: Glow in the dark I, Size: Medium
Pet approved !!!! Our puppy immediately grabbed it by the straps and took off!! It is well made and has handled some serious chewing in the last 24 hours. We love the glow in the dark because puppy playtime does not stop when it gets dark out!! It came with a pump and was very easy to assemble and inflate. This toy would be great for a pet owner that struggles with grasp & grip strength, the straps are absolutely genius.

Fun, Durable Ball, But Straps Could Be Tougher
Color: Glow in the dark I, Size: Large
I bought the QDAN Glow in the Dark Dog Toys Soccer Ball for my German Shepherd, who absolutely loves it. The glow-in-the-dark feature is great for evening play, adding an extra layer of fun to our outdoor interactions. The ball itself has proven to be remarkably durable, standing up well to the rough play that comes with a large, active dog.
However, the straps did not fare as well. My GSD managed to bite through most of them relatively quickly. While this hasn’t stopped us from enjoying the ball, it does mean that some of the interactive potential of the toy is lost. The ball continues to be a hit on its own, thanks to its resilience and the glow feature that keeps my dog engaged.
If the straps were as durable as the ball itself, this would be a perfect outdoor toy for energetic dogs. As it stands, it’s still a good purchase for anyone looking for a sturdy, engaging toy for their pet, especially if nighttime play is a routine.

Broke the first day
I purchased the owl ball because of other dog chew toys I purchased from Amazon. Those other chew toys are still holding together. The main reason I got the owl ball is due to the different noises it makes other than the regular squeak noise. After giving the toy to my dog he loved it right away. He especially liked the noise it made. After a few hours, I noticed he was chewing a white tube-like device. I took this away from him and determined it was the noise maker in the owl ball. I examined the owl ball and noticed the glue used to keep the ball cap shut did not hold. On closer inspection, I noticed what looked like rubber cement was used to hold the cap on but if it was rubber cement it was used improperly. Anyway, I just reglued the cap correctly and now it's just a ball because my dog destroyed the noise maker.
OK, Since I posted this review I was contacted by the seller. They offered to give me a full refund for the owl ball. I accepted the offer. So, I will try it again, but buy a different color owl this time. I never expected a refund since it's just a ball now, my dog still plays with it and it is holding up very well. The material it is made from is pretty sturdy.
