The man, the sun, a bird, the bees and the wheat are symbols that can be discovered in most of Fassianos’ paintings, hidden or in the foreground, all symbolic of nature, liberty, the Greek spirit and the nostalgia of a home one can always return to. Fassianos was passionate about portraying optimism and hope, especially during times when they were most sought after.
