Ugh! Why would you ever do a swatch? Well...there are lots of reasons to do swatches for your projects, especially those that are going to be on your body or someone else's to ensure it fits! And swatches can be used for lots of fun things, use it as a pocket on your next sweater or sew it together and create a notion pouch. This workshop will walk you through creating a swatch in your preferred stitching type. We will talk about how the swatch can help you determine how much yarn you will need review the different types of fabric created determine color patterns and coordination when applicable Heather will walk you through creating your swatch for your next big project. If you have a pattern ready to go, make sure to bring it with you! And if you don't have a pattern to create, we will create a swatch based on the yarn and tools you bring.

Materials Required: Your Sweater Pattern, the yarn you've chosen, Swatches, and tools required by the pattern. If you don't have a sweater in mind, grab some yarn in any weight with the label recommended needles, and then one larger and one smaller than the recommendations.

Prerequisites: All students must be able to Cast On, Knit, Purl, Yarn Over, K2TOG, Stitch in the Round, Bind Off
