Die Belüftungsöffnungen an der Kopfschutzhaube sorgen für eine gute Luftzirkulation und machen das Tragen noch angenehmer. Was ebenfalls zu zusätzlichem Komfort beiträgt: Die Ohrmuscheln sind je nach Anwendung abnehmbar. Der Stihl Gesichts- und Gehörschutz ADVANCE GPA 28 ist mit einem Polyamid-Nylon-Gitter ausgestattet. Augenschutz  muss zudem Bei allen Arbeiten mit Rasentrimmern, Kantenschneidern, Motorsensen, Blasgeräten, Sprühgeräten und Trennschleifern muss zusätzlich ein Augenschutz (Schutzbrille gemäß Norm EN 166) getragen werden.
