Über die Pflanze

Kamille kultivierten bereits die Römer als Heilpflanze, daher der Name Kamille römisch. Im Gegensatz zur Kamille blau besteht die Pflanze aus buschigen Blüten ohne die gelbe Mitte und einem behaarten Stiel. Der apfelfruchtige und süßliche Duft des Kornblütengewächses ist unverwechselbar. Kamille römisch hat einen hohen Estergehalt.

Diese Inhaltsstoffe sind bekannt dafür, dass sie vor allem stark entspannend auf die Psyche und stärkend auf das zentrale Nervensystem wirken. Kamille römisch wirkt harmonisierend und gibt Gelassenheit und wird daher z.B. auch bei Schlafproblemen verwendet. In der Naturheilkunde werden esterhaltige Öle gerne auch in Hautpflegemischungen eingesetzt.
